Topic 5 – Session 6 – Big Civilization<\/p>\n

They concentrated their efforts in North America and the Caribbean Sea. Their empire\u2019s growth was hampered by their restrictive immigration and governing policies.<\/p>\n

In the 1800\u2019s they began a program of aggressive colonization, focusing on Africa. Their most notorious colony was located in southeast Asia, called \u201cVietnam\u201d.<\/p>\n
